Fulton County Proclamation Honoring SLKA’s Three Decades of Service
On January 21, 2026, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners recognized S. L. King & Associates, Inc. for 30 years of exemplary leadership, innovation, and stewardship in support of Fulton County's infrastructure needs, and hereby proclaims January 17th, as "S. L. KING & ASSOCIATES, INC. APPRECIATION DAY" in Fulton County, Georgia. S. L. King & Associates, Inc. (SLKA) has delivered major Fulton County public infrastructure improvements, and multiple facility modernization projects; and SLKA has enhanced regional water and wastewater systems through engineering leadership on Camp Creek, Johns Creek Environmental Campus, and Big Creek Water Reclamation Facilities, earning state and national awards, including the 2025 ASCE Project of Excellence and the 2025 ACEC State Award amongst other awards with its respective collaborative team.

Project Name: East Point City Hall – EarthCraft Certified
SLKA served as MEP/FP design engineer and LEED consultant (sub-consultant to Sizemore Group) for the new City Hall, transforming a former fire station site into a civic space featuring municipal offices, structured parking, urban greenspace, water features, and pedestrian pathways.
Project Name: Fulton County Juvenile Justice Center
SLKA provided full MEP/FP engineering design for the Judge Romae T. Powell Juvenile Justice Center, a 187,500 SF facility with eight courtrooms, administrative space, and a 25-bed holding area, consolidating juvenile court functions into a modern, centralized location.
Project Name: Benjamin E. Banneker High School Upgrades
For Fulton County Schools, SLKA retrofitted air exhaust systems across seven classrooms/labs, performed system evaluations, provided corrective engineering recommendations, and managed full construction administration.
Project Name: Fulton County Standby Mechanical & DREAM Support
As prime consultant, SLKA delivered mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for multiple County facilities. Work included fire alarm modernization, building automation upgrades, and LEED-aligned energy-efficient design strategies.

SLKA led all electrical engineering for the odor control system upgrade at the Fulton County headworks facility, part of a progressive design-build wastewater modernization program meeting updated EPD regulatory standards.

SLKA provided full design and construction administration for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to bring the facility into compliance with EPA consent decree requirements.
